What is Nature of Walking?

Families are guided through the sensory, playful, and imaginative experience of Shinrin-yoku on a Nature of Walking hike and tea.

These events are intentionally for all ages with an emphasis on children’s interests, curiosity, and activity. A special mission in these family walks will be guiding parents through forest bathing while simultaneously balancing the child’s experience as we all share in a beautiful natural setting and the “vitamin-N” healing benefits.

What is Shinrin-yoku?

Shinrin-yoku, or “forest bathing,” is a practice popularized in Japan and revered for its therapeutic benefits like a boosted immune system, reduced blood pressure, and improved sleep patterns.

Nature of Walking Birthday Parties are simply the best.

Imagine a birthday party at your local park with a guided nature itinerary for the children to enjoy. Parents are welcome to gather while the children hike and play in a scripted and beneficial way inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku or “forest bathing”. The experience concludes with a Japanese-inspired tea ceremony including teas from native and foreign medicinal plants. Food and birthday gift-giving is perfect for our tea ceremony as we will be well stretched and full of “vitamin-N” from our timely forest walk. Finding the best parks for parties is one of our expertise! Ask us more. Email Kelly for inquiries.
